GOMM is Dan Allison, but also an umbrella under which to collaborate and perform. Previous collaborators include Jody DeSchutter (BAG), producer Holst and artists James Alec Hardy and Dominic Beattie.

"Ambients focuses on an exploration of range and placement, space and air. This provides a contrast to GOMM’s signature fuzz, beats and razor-edged drones of previous releases. Synths and field recordings provide the textures that layer the soundscapes of Ambients, yet it was the process of editing and stripping back that largely drives the minimal compositions and space in which they exist." – DA

Iterations of 01-04 were used for a performed rendition by Charles Sherman-Cox of T.S. Eliot’s poem Ash Wednesday, and featured in the exhibition ‘Five Rooms’ that opened in London in late 2022.

BONUS DIGITAL TRACK: "Bonus track Mr Pink’s House shows the potential next steps of the GOMM sound by re-layering the stripped-back bass and high notes established in Ambients, building a new aesthetic soundscape edging towards post-punk dub."
